Pacific Midrange System Association (PMSA) and Cascade User Group chosen to pilot new COMMON education initiative

March 17, 2005
COMMON Spring 2005 Conference, Chicago, IL

At the Spring 2005 Local User Group (LUG) officers luncheon, COMMON announced a new initiative to bring top-flight full day iSeries Education to cities across the United States. These full day seminars will feature top-rated and exceptionally knowledgeable COMMON speakers on a focus topic. The COMMON board approved piloting the program in five cities across the United States. The PMSA board was approached prior to the Spring COMMON conference by the COMMON board to determine interest. The PMSA board enthusiastically approved proceeding with a joint effort. The COMMON task force charged with the new initiative has received outstanding responses from top COMMON speakers to participate in the new program. Topic and speaker selection was well underway and the results will be made available in the very near future. COMMON and the local user groups were working on exact dates as the COMMON conference closed. The event will be in the May or June time frame; the exact date will be announced shortly!
