encrypting data on the platform easier than ever. Automatic Encryption

on the IBM i. The presentation will discuss how Administrators can use
FIELDPROC to encrypt fields that contain sensitive information and
control how data is decrypted without impacting existing applications.

- The security risks with the new FIELDPROC APIs

Patrick Townsend has been in the data security industry for more than
25 years and brings both a deep well of knowledge and a unique
perspective to the subject. He founded Townsend Security, a company that
specializes in data encryption, key management, managed file transfer,
and system logging solutions. Patrick is an award winning speaker and
regularly presents on data security topics. He contributes to standards
development at organizations like OASIS and PCI SSC.
